Centers and Facilities

Providing infrastructure and performing research at the foundations of Data Science or domain specific data science applications.

Department of Biological Sciences

Cryo-EM facility

The Purdue Cryo-EM Facility is a member of the Purdue EM Consortium and a designated Indiana CTSI Core Facility. Our facility is available to Purdue, other academic institutes, and industry users. It provides state-of-the-art instruments and expertise for high resolution structure determination of viruses, larger macromolecular complexes, nano-particles, as well as tomographic visualization of virus-cell interactions by cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and three-dimensional (3-D) image reconstruction.

Department of Chemistry

Merck-Purdue Center for Measurement Science

A master agreement between Merck & Co and Purdue with projects that span topics such as bioanalytical organization of PPDM (pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug metabolism), analytical chemistry, and analytical sciences.

Department of Computer Science

Center for Science of Information
An NSF Science & Technology Center

The mission of the Purdue Center for Science of Information is to advance science and technology through a new quantitative understanding of the representation, the communication, and processing of information in biological, physical, social, and engineered systems.

Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences

Weather, Climate, Environment, Resources, Energy, and Society (WCERES)

Climate change, growth in world population, and extreme weather are increasingly taxing the Earth’s limited natural resources. For society to absorb and counter this strain, it is critical to integrate multi-disciplinary knowledge in the nexus of the intricately coupled systems of weather, climate, environment, resources, energy, and society (WCERES).

Department of Mathematics

Center for Computational and Applied Mathematics (CCAM)

The Center for Computational and Applied Mathematics (CCAM) offers a comprehensive graduate educational and research program in applied and computational mathematics. CCAM promotes both fundamental research and scientific and engineering applications.
