I am an Academic Advisor for the College of Science advising Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science majors. I earned my Master's degree in Women's Studies and my Bachelor's degree in Media Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. I grew up in New Britain, Connecticut and lived in CT most of my life, along with living in Stony Brook, New York on Long Island for two years. While I have visited family and friends in the Midwest, moving to Indiana is a new experience I'm looking forward to.
I've worked in Higher Education for ten years with experience in Residential Life and Academic Coaching. I'm passionate about working with students in navigating their college experiences and supporting them in achieving their fullest potential. I'm excited to do so with Purdue students! Boiler Up!
Outside of advising, you can find me catching the latest release in the MCU franchise, exploring the outdoors/finding walking trails, connecting with my little niece and nephews, and trying new foods. I try to start each day with a Wonder Woman pose, and the thought, "Imagine what you could do if you weren't afraid."
Advice for Boilermakers:
You will get out of this experience what you put into it. Try to approach new things with an open mind, ask questions, and have fun! There are a lot of resources on campus to help you make the most of your time at Purdue, so please feel free to use them.
