I hope that students working with me would know that I first care about them as a person and want to do everything in my power to help them to be successful at Purdue, but even more importantly to grow and develop into a person they are at peace with. I hope that through our time working together, I can help students to understand the university’s structure, systems, policies, and practices so that they can be successful. I also want to assist and challenge them in being engaged in community beyond just their classes. While classes give you the education you need to be successful in the future, it is often in the extracurricular activities and the relationships you build that you learn how to apply these lessons in meaningful ways. I believe that an Academic Advisor can help guide, support, and challenge a student so that they find a major and a campus life that is meaningful now and will be a good foundation in the future.

My spouse is a geotechnical engineer and together we are raising three wonderful children, including a set of twins. We really enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors, especially mountain biking, camping, swimming, and resting in my hammock with a good book.
