College of Science Majors: Actuarial Science, Math, and Statistics

Hi there! I am an Academic Advisor for math, statistics, and actuarial science students in the College of Science. I have a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (ABJ) from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. I have only lived in Indiana since 2017, spending the majority of my life all over the southeast (primarily Georgia, the Carolinas & Tennessee).

Even though my career path has been filled with interesting twists, it has always come back to my deepest goal: to walk alongside young adults as they explore who they are and what they are called to do in this life. To that end, I have served in Baptist churches in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Indiana in various pastoral capacities. I also served as a yearbook advisor and career counselor at McDowell Early College High School in Marion, NC, for seven years before coming to Lafayette.

My husband, Matt, is an Indiana native, so it has been fun for me and our son Oliver to learn more about where he grew up. For fun, I love creating crafts and décor projects, reading historical fiction novels, watching movies, baking, watching Georgia football, and getting out on the lake whenever possible.

I look forward to working alongside you as you achieve your educational goals!
